Stephen is a partner with PwC Canada’s Corporate Finance practice working in the Toronto office with a focus on mining.

He has experience in investment banking, corporate banking and long-term private placements with major Canadian life insurance companies. Stephen’s experience in corporate finance includes advising multi-national and private clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, strategic planning and valuations.

In his career, Stephen has advised or participated in over 50 transactions and has managed over $1.0 billion of assets as part of a five-member team.

Select current mining related mandates include the following:

  • Advised Amherst Quarries on their divestiture to Walker Industries
  • Advised Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC), an Indian State Owned Company on their strategic investment and off-take agreement with Karnalyte Resources Inc.
  • Advising several Asian based State Owner Entities on merger and acquisition transactions
  • Advising on the project financing of a mine build-out to a Canadian based gold company

Stephen is both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
